 For the Wisconsin guys...
Does any one run the Crawfish and the maunesha river near Watertown and Portland, if you do or have what is it like and what should I be prepared for. I have driven over it on BB and g and it looked like hell, but I have also seen guys make it all the way to the wild life area off or Dalman rd. so just let me know what you think of it. Thanks

 Re: For the Wisconsin guys...
All i will say is its mostly just shallow and muddy. When water is low you can see the rocks. When water is just a couple inches higher well not so much. There's certain areas I wont go past without getting out and dragging boat as some areas I've seen had rocks the entire width of the river couple inches higher and they would be just below surface and you would never know they were there until ya hit em.

 Re: For the Wisconsin guys...
Im not going to get into areas I run on the river. Your going to have to do your own scouting. There's enough competition out there as it is.

 Re: For the Wisconsin guys...
My family has had a cottage on pelican lake for over 50 years. Water is super high right now and cover is sparse spots are limited due to shore development. Shot a couple of buffles last weekend but it was in between a new push of birds. Its hit or miss there. Couldnt stand in the water cuz it was too deep so I had to hunt out of the boat with pencil reeds that only came up to the boat sides. Mallards flared buffles were dumb as shit and dropped right in while standing up in plane sight.
If you make it up there again go to boondocks which is less than 10 miles north on 45 and get a double long island. Its theyre specialty there you wont regret it.
Duck hearse did you stay at weavers point campground behind crescent island. There were some other rental cottages on the lake but they were sold last yea as individual properties and are no longer rented.
