 subaru ex27 9 hp help

I'm trying to get my lil longtail going after some time off my carb was leaking just sitting. so I cleaned it changed gaskets etc and it stopped the leak now it drips fuel when running out the top rear overflow. I've tried adjusting the fuel shut off slowes it down but no luck so I'm wondering is my next step a new needle it has no adjustment all plastic float just thought I'd check with others make sure I'm not missing something thanks for any help
