 Lowrance Fuel Flow Sensor?????
Anyone ever used the fuel flow sensor from Lowrance. I think this would be great especially since I have no fuel gauge. We fish a good bit at night and when carrying 4-5 people in the PD, I can never tell how much gas I have left. Just looking to see if anyone had any dealing with one. http://www.lowrance.com/en-US/Products/ ... en-us.aspx

 Re: Lowrance Fuel Flow Sensor?????
I've got them on my offshore boat with twin 140 Suzuki 4 strokes and they have worked flawlessly for 5-6 years. Got them when they first came out and set up the NEMA 2000 backbone. I have fuel flow data overlaid on the map page of my Lowrance GPS. In the BUS setup you put the tank size and it calculates usage so you know exactly what you have burned and what is left in the tank. When you refill the tank you can run a calibration to get the flow meters close to actual real world numbers. I never calibrated mine since it was around 10% over my actual usage. That gave me a little cushion of fuel for long offshore runs. I assume you have a Lowrance head unit of some sort??

 Re: Lowrance Fuel Flow Sensor?????
Yes I just bought a HDS7, and the Sonic Hub. Just really wanting to get as much information that I can to have peace of mind on the water during long runs. I only have a 12 gal tank, and a motor that is modded so the consumption is far beyond stock usage. I have run out once already and it was no fun. Good to hear that these things are reliable and am probably going to make that purchase.
