Was hoping yall could help me on what SD will balance this boat out. So I have pretty much settled on the boat. A 15x50 Gatortrax with a hunt deck; so really the boat will be 16' 8". It will have the hybrid V hull and .125 thickness with high transom. Typically run with a light load of 2 guys, dog and a few dozen decoys; 600 lbs in people and gear. I defiantly want F,N,R on the SD and tilt/trim. I've been looking at the Mudbuddy 37 EFI. Not sure if the HDR or Sport V would be the better motor. I do run a lot of rivers with a mixture of hard bottom, sand, mud, timber, hydrilla and rock. How does a shorter drive shaft effect performance? I have a buddy who runs the sport V and absolutely loves it. I run a gator tail and love it. That hard bottom is no one friend lol. |

What ever you do make sure your transom is built to suit the gator tail if go that way mine isn't and I have to take it for modification |
