 1751 Excel F4, motor options?
I currently have a Nissan 55hp outboard on it, but I think I wanna swap over to a MM. I'm leaning a lot to the GTRs. I have seen on here they have long and short, which would I need to run it on my boat?

What is the transom height on the hull?
You'll need to have between 19-21" for a tall transom GTR.
For a short transom model GTR you need a transom with height of 15".

I'm not sure, I would have to measure it. I know I have to run a long shaft outboard on it.

Their website says your transom should be either 17" or 20". http://excelboats.net/Shallow%20Water%20F4.html

Might wanna see what hull it is too, viper or shallow water. I don't know personally but I hear the viper hull doesn't work the best with mm's. Need a shallow water hull. The shallow water is flat where the viper has the reverse chines.

I love my HD but no way would I want a sport V. If I had the money I'd get a new HDR efi with the mako 6 upgrade.
