| Post subject: | Outboard after duck season? |
Anyone run an outboard on their mud hull after hunting season is over? I’m thinking about selling my 25 Evinrude that’s laying in the garage and getting a 40 to 60 horse. What would be the biggest I could throw on a 16.5/48? |

You could run a 60 on it if you want. I run a modded 40 and it will run 46 all day long with me, the dog, and a couple of fishin poles in it. I've seen 47-48 several times, but for all practical purposes it's a 45-46 mph rig. The biggest I would go is a 4 stroke 70, but that's just my opinion. |
