Has anyone ever ran an low horsepower fan motor? How are they? I've seen a few new Ranger skiffs with them mounted above their outboards, on something like a poling platform. I've never actually seen one running and have no clue how well they move a boat. |

I haven't saw to many of them and never been in one. But having watched em on the lake they seem to move around trolling motor speed. I'm sure it all depends on your boat/fan setup though. |

Thanks Tony. I'm really just interested in how they perform. Trolling does seem to be their purpose though. |

It depends on boat size engine size prop size and pitch. I've never fished off one but been around quite a few on the lakes and never saw one that I would want to be my only means of propulsion. |
