Hey guys, I just moved to the Baton Rouge/ Gonzales area from Houston for a new job. Would like to hear any suggs&reccs on surface drives and hulls for any and all hunting within a 150 mile radius. I realize that includes just about every terrain from marsh to timber.. So far I am thinking at least 17' and would like to have a motor with reverse. Ive looked at all the popular companies prodrive, GTR, etc.. all seem like great options. Plan on going and visiting each one also when I get some time. Would like to also be able to fish out of the boat for trout and redfish. I have hunted the Texas coast my entire life and we either used airboats or bay boats and hiked so im new to the mud motor scene. If anyone hunts in the area and has any tips or would like to share what you are running around here please chime in! Budget is $~17K. Thanks in advance! |

Lots of good used rigs on the market right now. Go down to Prodrive and gatortail to test drive and meet the guys, then decide. |
