So my yankee bro in law has been riding with us and decided to put a boat together. His budget is 5k. So far he found a stock 35 gdsd with 29 hours for 3800. The boat is 40 yr old bass boat hull he traded a little work for from my ol man. The trailer we still need to dig something out of the back and make fit. He bought 2 sheets of aluminum for 300. With diesel down to s.la to get motor he is in 4200. This turd will be at the caddo run. I told him to post this up a week ago but he is slackin. Its fun watchin it come together with low$. Maybe it will inspire others to go for it :D

He has a floor in it now. Still picking at it, and found a decent trailer for 150. Still in budget so far

We ran it in the pond and it actually runs and handles real good. Prob 25mph i guess and cut a corner better than mine. So far so good ;)

The Mod Vee's I have seen run do well except for pure mud, and Heavily loaded. Otherwise they do well.
