Between the two I'd go with the 1748 with the GTR. Most here will say the same. But I probly wouldn't pick out either of those with unlimited options Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I assume the F&F is a true custom mud hull. The performance of this hull should be better than the Xpress. It will have a slick bottom, and probably built to be much more durable. The GatorTail is a motor with a proven track record of good customer service and durability. Xpress makes good boats - but they aren't the best mud motor hulls. The H4400 motor on the Boss has been around for a while. Boss is still new to the game. I hear their customer support is awesome, but the reliability is still yet to be proven. What is the asking price on these? I'm with Flint. These wouldn't be my first choice for the money they likely are going to cost. |

Both boats are around 12000. I don't do a lot of mud running mostly just thick weeds and shallow water with some bigger (not to big) water to cross to get into the swamps. Thanks for the advice |

I'd take a look in the "complete rigs" section in the classifieds on here, there are some better rigs than what you listed, maybe one is close by for cheaper than 12k, just my .02 Sent using smoke signals |

Where are you located? Someone might know of something they can point you towards. I put toogether a near new rig this year. I know you don't have time for that, but just some FYI at this point. Uncle J Customs bare hull, 5500. Used 2013 GTR frame 2500. Brand new EFI Subaru 2200. Paint and rigged it myself 600. Used trailer 300. There were some other expenses, but it came in around the 12k mark. You should be able to find something with the big block for under 12k. People might even get antsy to sell boats they’ve been hanging onto all year with season coming up. There is someone near me in Beaumont, TX selling a GoDevil Boat (18footer) with a 35hp GDSD for around 10k. I think it’s a 2014 or 2015. |
