Post subject:  Gheenoe and copperhead questions

Figured I'd post in the main chat for more exposure.

I've got a gheenoe classic and am picking up a copperhead 23 next weekend.

Couple questions.

1.) anyone else run a similar setup on a gheenoe?

2.) any common problems with the copperhead or things to look for, it is a used motor.

Thanks in advance guys.

Pretty simple system. Just don't over grease. That should be a slick setup as long as you dont hit anything hard.

What kinda hp is that gheenoe rated for? I think a 4 stroke 25 is like 165lbs and the copperhead is like 140 so it should roll pretty good. I don't however know the gheenoe bottom will preform being they are fairly narrow in comparison to an aluminum boat. I have a 13' short side I have been toying with putting a 6-12hp on to fish out of. There was someone last year asking a similar question about the gheenoe...apparently he never got anywhere or decided not to post anything more about it....I would like to know how it does.

The wider the stern the better youll be. my buddy ran a 10hp on a 13' riverhawk. It ran pretty well.
