Figured I'd post in the main chat for more exposure. I've got a gheenoe classic and am picking up a copperhead 23 next weekend. Couple questions. 1.) anyone else run a similar setup on a gheenoe? 2.) any common problems with the copperhead or things to look for, it is a used motor. Thanks in advance guys. |

Pretty simple system. Just don't over grease. That should be a slick setup as long as you dont hit anything hard. |

What kinda hp is that gheenoe rated for? I think a 4 stroke 25 is like 165lbs and the copperhead is like 140 so it should roll pretty good. I don't however know the gheenoe bottom will preform being they are fairly narrow in comparison to an aluminum boat. I have a 13' short side I have been toying with putting a 6-12hp on to fish out of. There was someone last year asking a similar question about the gheenoe...apparently he never got anywhere or decided not to post anything more about it....I would like to know how it does. |

The wider the stern the better youll be. my buddy ran a 10hp on a 13' riverhawk. It ran pretty well. |
