Noticed something this weekend about my boat. Had it empty Friday evening other than a full tank of gas in the front. No trolling motor and no batteries in the front (normally have 2). Running by myself I was able to get up to around 4100 RPMS and bumped 29 mph a few times. I was impressed.
Saturday morning, my son and I went fishing so I had the trolling motor and batteries back in the front, along with fishing gear etc... I was only able to reach around 3900 rpms and 25 mph. Should I run my battery wires for the trolling motor to the back of the boat and see if it runs better this way? (more weight in the rear of the boat)
