Noticed something this weekend about my boat. Had it empty Friday evening other than a full tank of gas in the front. No trolling motor and no batteries in the front (normally have 2). Running by myself I was able to get up to around 4100 RPMS and bumped 29 mph a few times. I was impressed. ![]() Saturday morning, my son and I went fishing so I had the trolling motor and batteries back in the front, along with fishing gear etc... I was only able to reach around 3900 rpms and 25 mph. Should I run my battery wires for the trolling motor to the back of the boat and see if it runs better this way? (more weight in the rear of the boat) |

Have your son move to the back before you start moving wires batteries etc. My boat likes weigh in the back more than the front, but each boat is different. |

Yea, I had him sitting towards the back on the cooler already. He's around 100 lbs. I'm gonna just try unhooking the batteries and move them to the back and run it to see if it helps before I go re-routing wires and all. |

Boats like some weight in the front but there is a point it becomes too much. I run dual tanks a 31 series battery and Minn kota. If I pull everything out and run its gets some bow hop. With the stuff mentioned it runs perfect. Too much weight and you start to barge. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |
