Will etch primer stick to Gator Glide ,, att Frog
Doin a little boat cleanup. There is small amounts of gglide in some old sand scratches. Am i to treat it like its wax/silicone and sand it all out perfect orrr will it get along ok with non gglide topcoats? im goin to hit it with an etch first. It will get re gglided later but for now just paint, thanks for your time

Re: Will etch primer stick to Gator Glide ,, att Frog
Ive run gglide a few years and its awsome in veggies. I thought boat ran deeper with gglide but wasnt sure. I had alot of orange peel that was from me applying wong so i decided to "wet"sand it flat . It was dam sure slick. On that test run boat the rear dropped another 2 inches into water at wot and nose bounced more. In veggies it was great as always. It definitely changed how it worked. I had gglide up most of the sides. So for this round im going to just paint boat to test, next will be to re glide bottom but only the bottom and i will stay off the sides. My boat is a skinny worst case scenario for running on top of water. Even my wife says we are going to get stuck without it. Gatorglide has saved our ass a few times. Plus we have a newborn kiddo and dont need boat for a few weeks sooo, i started sanding
