Fuel line was snagged by the buckbrush this morning in 17 degree weather. Snapped the barbed inlet clean off the side of the fuel pump. Anyone else have this problem? It is a brand new 36 Prodrive FPR. Has anyone considered fabbing a cover for all of the cables and lines on the sides of these motors? If so could you share some pics. Also where is the best place to get a replacement fuel pump?

Dude it happens to me all the time…the factory one was a straight fitting and I asked if they could get me one that was a 90 and the could…because with the 90 I could tuck and conceal the fuel line better…but I keep a spar in da boat just-n-case

They can still order it for ya. It’s just a lawn mower engine.

They can but why waste your time. Order it yourself and have it sent to your house from the above link. Its as cheap as your gonna find on briggs parts and shipping is fast.

Thanks for the input guys, but the story I am getting is that this particular engine is so new that not many shops or distributors will have the parts, if any. So far I have not found any place to get this part including Pro-Drive. I am a little concerned that the motor was built on the 92nd day of 2009 and parts are not available. Make me wonder if I have made the right decision.
