Post AIRBOAT??
I don't see much activity over on Airboat talk so I figured I would post up here since I know a lot of guys run them.

Wondering if the Countra rotaing props on like the Panther airboats are a good? or would you go to like a belt driven gear reduction unit?
Found a boat Panther boat for sale with the counter rotating props on a Gm502 motor just curious as if those are a good setup for heavy boats and loads.. Boat is a 18x8

I have zero experience with the counter rotator setup. I do have a lot of hours running a belt drive. on a big airboat, they are the way to go in my opinion. less to break.

if that 502 has alum heads, be sure to put good valves in it, I've seen several drop valves.

Counter rotation props are the shit on an airboat. Just $$$$ when you jack it up lol

I think 2:1 reductions are the best imo. I’ve driven several direct drives and you have to be careful because they easy to stick. Never had a problem on a boat with reduction

One thing about Wi is that we can't run dry unless on private land.
