Post subject:  HELP:35hp muddbuddy tilt trim

I have a 2006 35 hp mudbuddy and I made the mistake of not pulling the plug last time I ran it because I was in such a rush and after a good rain the boat was half full of water and the tiller handle was under water and the tilt trim switch stopped working on me. I’ve never had this happen and im just wondering what should I do? Should I order a new switch or is there more I should do. I appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks in advance!

best bet is to take a look under the football to see how corroded the contacts are. The trim switches are easily found from dealers (Boat Dr/BPS/MB...)
Pull the football - check/clean the connections, if pooched - buy a new one - see if it helps.
Also -- is your battery connected? ;) I only ask because i've done it before too....
