I just bought a 2011 prodrive and decided to be cheap and hung it on the boat I had sitting around. It’s a 1650 almuacraft. Obviously not the most desirable hull but it’s what my bank account could afford for the time being. I’m only getting 19mph out of it. I’m not sure what prop I have but I’m running Around 4100 rpm. Where is a good place to start for getting more speed. I’m going to move the gas tank to the front and get some weight out of the back. Possibly new prop? This seems pretty slow from what I’ve seen else where TIA |

What size prodrive? Short transom or tall transom motor? Short or tall transom boat? What condition is your prop in? |

x's 2 ^^ My first 3 things that come to mind, transom / motor height, prop condition, and condition of bottom of hull. FWIW, I hung a 36 prodrive on a 16x48 alweld, and was only getting 18 mph. Prop was worn. Put a new prop and got 28-29 mph. Measure your prop and go from there. |

Short transom short shaft motor Haven’t measured the prop. What’s the recommended/stock size for a prodrive. I’ll measure it when I get home. I have a suspicion I have a bunch of water logged foam in there as well might be tearing it apart to get all that out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
