So I must ask because I see this all the time. What is so much better about GT than any other brand? Is it the speed factor? I own a GT and don’t get me wrong I like it, but am very disappointed with the reverse, granted it’s only a 23. I am selling it Sunday and going to PD, mainly for the reverse. |

So are you sacrificing a better reverse, in terms of performance, to have it at a flip of a switch? If so, I feel like I’d rather have to wait the 4 seconds or whatever it takes to spin around, that’s just me though. I also feel like I would enjoy the twist grip throttle versus the squeeze grip. As far as customer service, I’ve spoke with both GT and PD and have been pretty pleased with both, but my experiences are limited. |

I can 100% see instant reverse being great at the boat launch or docking, but other than that I don’t see it being that important. If it’s windy like you said while picking up decoys or whatnot, I’ll just take a couple passes. When I’m hunting I’m not in a rush to do anything, I can wait the 4 seconds. But again, this is coming from someone who has only owned a GT (granted I never use reverse outside the boat launch cause it sucks) and my opinion may change when I get a PD. |

Yes, it is the old style reverse. What changed that made it better? |

That new Extreme Hull has the same side and T-Lock gunnels as my Predator hull. That is a nice addition. |

I ran a GTR this past duck season. Never will I ever spend money on a GTR. It just doesn't fit my needs with the reverse. It can barely back out its own way in shallow water, much less lilies or mud. And the "old reverse", or the electric reverse is still junk in anything besides deepwater. The upgraded PD hydro reverse takes less than 3 seconds to spin around. Speed is good, (Yes, slower than GTR), performance in the mud is just as good, and customer service from PD is A1 to me. fuck that koolaid |

I like my gatortail and for me as well, instant reverse for picking up decoys in a strong north wind is a must. I don’t have time to wait 3 or 4 seconds when I’m trying to pick up 12 dozen decoys |

Y'all try that ratchet or even hydro reverse in flooded woods. Not the big stuff, but the thick stuff you have to drive through to get to the holes in the woods. You'd never get there. The motors with instant reverse are by far superior in arkansas flooded woods. And yes I've had all major brands besides go devil Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk |

Lol I hope it’s not slower than that little 23 I had, and even if it is oh well, at least I’ll have a reliable reverse! |

I'm on hard bottom and have run gd, mudbuddy, then prodrives... last few years I have been on the GTR... I'm still on the gatortail. Convenience and durability |
