 Help - 23 GDSD Throttle Cable

Post Help - 23 GDSD Throttle Cable
I ordered a new throttle cable for me 23 GDSD Vanguard. Seems like I am going to have to cut the grip off of the handle so that I can slide the old throttle lever off and put the new one on. Is this right? Is there not a way to slide the grip off so that I can re-use it? If I have to cut it, what are y'all replacing the old grip with since I didn't order one from Go-Devil?

Also, any tips that you might have on replacing the throttle cable are welcome.

Just lube it up with some soap and water and it should slide right off then just slide it back on when your done shouldnt need to cut it.
