). Find a good Briggs and Stratton repair shop in your area and have them check out the motor. Then get yourself a belt tensioning gauge from Mudbuddy and do the simple belt tension check yourself. Otherwise you will get ate up in freight costs.And for what it's worth, I have owned multiple mud motors and have done all maintenance myself...maintenance being oil changes. I have never had to do a valve adjustment, although maybe performance of my motors might have benefitted from it. So there you go.
