I called a GD boat dealer just to see what they had on hand as far as used or new boats. They carry more than just the GD so I was seeing what they had. The guy asked me what im running for a boat/motor now I said a 1652 G3 witha modded MB35 he goes well the motor is your problem. I didnt say anything just sat and listened to him he went on and on about how if I were to buy a slick bottom boat like a GD or Gator tail or anything like that I wont notice a difference because its my motor. I was like really well why is that he said because all other Mud Motor manufatures dont put the right angle on the motor and thats why im not goin that fast. Im like I go 30mph. He is like well you would go that and more witha stock GD35 on 1860. I bascily said he was an idiot and hung up. Just thought I would share that. I know a boat can make a huge difference in speed thats why im looking at getting a actual Mud Boat

A friend of mine owned a GD 1660 with a 35 gdsd and on a good day he would get 29 out of it and not much more. He gets on this site everynow and again. His name is cypressisland boy. The guy you talk to is a douchbag.

He pretty much said I was dumb for modding out my motor beacause a 35Gd is last fast stock. I just listened and said oh yeah uh thats interesting. The whole time wanting to tell him he is a Dumb ass. I didnt call him looking for a motor of lecture on a motor I called to check their inventory of boats. He kept saying that my boat being heavy isnt why its slow. I would love to take his rig and run necka nd neck he is a die hard longtail guy from what I gathered on the phone. I guess he likes to take an extra half hour to get to the Blind. Meanwhile Ill be in his spot already drinking coffee. Now dont get me wrong I love longtails but when we are talking about gaining speed you cant beat a SD. Maybe Ill tell the guy about this site just so we can bash him a little when he post some dumbass thing like MB GT Pro Drives shafts arent at the right angle and thats why were not as fast as a GD. Correct me if im wrong but doesnt GT hold the record for fastest SD?????

yeah... i went and checked with our dealer about a new shaft and prop for my LT. I was quoted $100 for the shaft and $350-500 for the prop!!!! i just said "Huh, thats interesting" and walked off. emailed GD and 55 for shaft and 250 for the prop...
