Ok so i am trying to go to the diving school in morgan city but i ant got the cash flow to do it.. well my dad is fully disabled and i heard that i can get the gov to pay for me to go to school down there.....Ive been searching all over and cant find anything. do any of yall know of any programs or anything that would help me find out about this??? ALSO to all you morgan city Fella's when ever i go down to that school ima need a part time job at night and a motel to rent for 7 months...so if yall know of a cheap motel near the school and a little restaurant or mcdonalds or something near it also it would be greatly appreciated. i go this week to schedule for my ged test and take it here soon. Call the Campus, and I am sure that they can assist with the different Programs. You do not was to rent a Motel. The cheapest one will be like 900 per month. You need a cheap rent house. I have some friends that own rent houses and Appartments. (should beable to asssit you a bit) As far as a job, make sure you have a couple weeks of spending capital, and I should beable to help with that also. How old are you? Have you ever worked anywere? Its been a few years since i was in school but i think the program is called fafsa. Go the www.fafsa.gov and you can register. I believe they will require your ged before considering you for any grants or loans but thats the place to start |

2 words for you sir pell grant......everyone says you gotta be black to get it but that aint true. being that your father is dissabled, they have a ass load of grants out there designed just for a situation like yours. Just be prepared to have your parents tax info and annual income ect. for the grants and they usually take 3-5 months to get processed till they get back to you. only thing that could screw you is if your mother shows to much income on her w2. I have a very similar situation too you. and pell grants and several federal finacial aid programs that mr. obama has put in place, takes care of all my school cost. The pell grant wont pay for room and board pay for everything included in school aspect. you just have to make a few phone calls bug the secertaries at your school and they'll give you the right info. but almost all schools have a finacial aid program that will help you out or give you the info to people you need to talk to. |

Fill out your fafsa, have your parents tax/disability info, and shoot me a PM. I can get the process dealing with the government expedited. |
