Post GT trim aint got no juice- problems!
No power to the trim. I bypassed the relay and jumped out the trim motor and found that its working good. The wires are all good and nothing came loose but a voltmeter test appears to link the problem to the relay(s). When i first got the boat, I didnt realize that the battery box was full of water and the fuses and relays were soaking for a long time (dumb ass). So if the relay was soaking I'm assuming that this the problem. They appear to be sealed but I guess they aint made to take an extended bath. Anyone else had problems with the relays?

Can you get the relays at any auto parts store? Calling GT in the morning.

GT will have them to you the next day but someone should chime in on those relays if I remember correctly you can purchase them at local stores.

I did a more extensive search on the site and found this:

Autozone, Part Number MR125

I hope this is the problem. I'm trying to go bowfishing Thurs nite.

Just rewired and relocated mine on my mudbuddy the relays and wiring harness need to stay dry
those relays get corroded quickly if they are exposed to moisture.

Check your ground wire to your pump. #1 issue for these
PT units.

Yup its a common problem if you let the relays get wet. I suggets drilling a hole in the bottom of the Battery box and routh the wires so the relays are at the TOP of the battery box aswell. Then you are set. Or you can convert to the new handle controls...

Fyi the auto zone part # is 19272 and they cost around $13.00 a piece. I did give them Gatorguys part # and the gave me the relays, but their part # is actually the one I listed above.

And yes, I drilled several drain holes in my battery box when I first found out that it was holding salt water. Recently the trim would sometimes work and some times not. I cleand all the connections in battery box and it worked. The trim worked all day last week. Checked it the other day and it stopped working.

I just tried new relays and it still won't work. The fuses are all good. My only guess is either the toggle switch or the fuse with the reset is bad. WTF???

Btw, I have a CC.

Solved the drama. I just jumped the toggle switch out and whattayouknow, the MUTHERFUKER was bad. A freakin $2.00 part that works whenever it feels like it. Always something.

are u guys talkn bout the trim on the GT's handle? if so.. i would also assume that the relay your talkin about is the one i would need to get to add an extra trim switch to my motor.. ((actually adding an extra trim switch to my grab bar)) (PD) it should be the same part number since im doin the same thing?? and both are briggs motors?
