my motor didnt come with a clutch and would like to know could i put a clutch on it my self not afraid to fab the frame for it to work just dont know what kind of clutch it is and quite frankly havent never done it before and instead of using electric possibly using like a centrifigual clutch so it would just kick in when i give it some gas what do you guys think.i figured if anyone will know yall would thanks justin

i think its something that you can do but i think its high....for some reason i want to say around $800 for the electric. you may be able to pick up the certri parts from someone who has converted to the electric tho. dont think i would want the centri tho cause i think its easy to burn em up.

It does cost around $800 for the kit from mudbuddy. With the kit it is very simple. If you want to save some money you can machine out your existing belt housing to fit the clutch. But you will still have to buy the clutch, the upper cover, and the new belt and gear. If you machine the (E) belt housing it will save you about $350.

Do not go with centri clutch. Ill-fated experiment of Mudbuddy, and short-lived.

not to much of a flop. you buy a centrifical motor then 2 months later you get to spend 800 bucks on the electric conversion. "its a win win brother" (from joe dirt)
