Backing a boat in at the launch to test it without taking it out for a while and it runs ok does not mean when you take it out it will run ok.


I had some trouble at the Spanish Lake run and thought I had bad gas so I just cleaned the carb out and the tank. Sure enough bad gas in the tank.

Got dark and didnt have time to go run it so I just came home. Last night me and hunter went to go run it and there was a possum cop at the dock and when I tried to go down the bayou he stopped me cause I dont have any lights on the boat. Told me he couldnt let me go down the bayou so I just ran it hard on the trailer backed in the water.



Well I drive to Texas to go to the Wallisville run and I get 1/4 mile down the river and BAM --- same thing happens. Now I gotta figure out the problem. I think I need a new wiring harness for the coil with the diodes.

Nothing like driving 2-1/2 hrs to put ya boat in the water then turn around and drive home.

Well --- next time I wont be driving anywhere unless I KNOW its running right.

I think you had multiple problems. With that trash in the jet, and the orange juice you had in the gas tank, I cant see that not causing problems. If it makes you feel better I lost my iPhone in the main canal :cry:
