Well i finally got to put my boat in some pretty good stuff today, I went ridin with Poker1 on wallace lake today......had a BLAST.....thanks again Poker1!!!

Poker1........you got me wonderin about gettin a winch, what kind do u have? I'd like to do mine like you have yours so i dont have to perminately mount it?

Its the one thing you hope you never need and will be a happy mofo if you do. Eventually you will get stuck and it might save you a nasty swamp crawl and cold swim to land. I got mine at tractor supply on sale and it was about 100.00. Its a 2500lb winch. Someone posted a link recently with some good deals on winches. And get the synthetic rope on it. That stuff is great to handle as compared to cable. I'll show you mine next time we run and how I hook it up. That MB reverse (push pole) will only get you so far. And as soon as you learn how to use the brakes you won't run over me anymore. Ebay usually has some good deals on winches.

I was cuttin that limb for you. At normal water level you can go under all that stuff. High water puts you up in the limbs. You did just fine. It only gets better and you will be jumping beaver dams with Crews before you know it. We need to go run somewhere on the 18th then before you leave town. I'm sure some other folks would probably join in at Caddo for a ride. If not I think I can keep us from getting lost.

Went on a run today with Mudhole and Poker1 on clear lake......WE had a blast ...... we need to get Mudhole out more, I hear his boat sits up alot....j/k.....we saw all kinds of wildlife today and had a great time!!! Mudhole and Poker1 post pics and i'll try to do the same
