New GTR engines
Anyone know anymore info on the new engines coming out? I went to the local dealer and he said the few engines he got this week were going to be his last of the current engine. His next shipment would be the new marine GTR. Whats the take on this?

Re: New GTR engines
I dunno, but I hope it's a good thing. I think I'm gonna be in the green for a GTR by the end of the year if things go as planned.

Re: New GTR engines
It's just the new style CDI ignition engines. Comes with Stainless exhaust and built in rev. limiter along with a better charging system.

Re: New GTR engines
PD offers them as well, I assume all the other MM companies will offer them or already do.

Re: New GTR engines
Another lil fringe benefit - slightly better fuel economy as well as slightly better throttle response....
All the new GDSD's are coming with them now....
So you should be able to get some good pricing on any MM's with the older style engines right now....

Re: New GTR engines
Kawasaki has there DFI series which I believe Mud Buddy used to use..... They have up to a 31HP now.... http://www.kawpowr.com/engines/detail.aspx?id=54I am curious what can be achieved with MODs and FI.... vs Carbs..... I have always thought and heard carbs are best for ease of tuning... But I know FI can offer boost in power. Also.... http://www.greeneagleppg.com/models.html apparently offer a EFI kit for the GTH990 Generac... don't know the details but I have emailed them for info.

Re: New GTR engines
I know kohler and robin have gone to EFI but not on the larger motors (28 HP EFI Max).... I am real curious if it is an EPA issue?
