2009 GTR23 Came stock with Mikuni carb

 2009 GTR23 Came stock with Mikuni carb I was checking my engine closely today and noticed on the cap the words "Mikuni". This was a stock engine I purchase direct from Gatortail last year. No mods ever done to this engine. So does that mean I got a Mikuni carb instead of the stock vanguard carb? I remember when I was researching what to buy there was talk about carb problems with the Gatortails and the had to retrofit many of there engines with new carbs capable of handling throttle variations. So did they put in mine the new carb and is his the mikuni mod carb that is all the rage here?

Re: 2009 GTR23 Came stock with Mikuni carb Mikuni is just a brand of carb. Most people switch to the HSR series. Your motor didn't come stock with an HSR.

Re: 2009 GTR23 Came stock with Mikuni carb fuel injection is the way to go.... few more electonics to deal with but kohler is one of the few that has gotten smart about using Delphi injection systems...
