Re: This wire broke (has a glass tube fuse like thing) It is the 30A AGC fuse. I had one blow while out on the water. I had never noticed that there was an inline fuse in the wiring harness or I would have had spares. Lucky for me a friend had one of these fuses for something else handy in his tool box. His motor did not have the inline fuse like mine. I have an 07 and I belive his is an 08. But if it goes out you are dead in the water. I guess you could use the ol tin foil trick to get you home.

Re: This wire broke (has a glass tube fuse like thing) They all have it. I have a 2010 and sold my 2006. Buddies have a 2007, 08, 09 and all have the fuse. Find where it is and get a spare fuse for on the water.

Re: This wire broke (has a glass tube fuse like thing) Never said you will find a glass fuse in the stock box. I said they are still very common in the automotive industry. A large amount of aftermarket equipment still use them. I have one crack like the one in the pic on occasion, but for the most part when I'm replacing them they have done their job. They are very common in the marine industry, a lot of the switch plates use glass fuses, most engines have them, all your cigarette plug adapters. Common on construction equipment as noted above...Pretty common and used all over the place. Far from obsolete anyway. Oh, and we did aight in the duck blind today too  Glad you were able to get your boy out in the field with you. I hope you showed him where the fuse is at on your motor so if it ever goes out, he will know where it's at and how to replace it. And it better not be a glass fuse!
