My adjustment screw broke off yesterday and my carb boot ripped at the same time. change the boot and tried to run it, found that it runs fine till around 4000 rpms, then starts popping and does not let me run but about half throttle, question is do yall think i may have burnt a intake valve, or its because of the adjustment screw that broke?

I assume you are talking about a Mikuni carb- which screw broke? Can you post a picture? The adjustment screws for the accellerator pump are tiny.

Yes it is a mikuni, i just took one off of my dual rig today and tried it out and it is still doing the same thing @ 4000 RPMs it start popping and wants to stall out, I think I might have burned a intake valve will do a leak down test tomorrow after the hunt.
