I have a brand new honda 20hp gs620. I wanted to purchase a mini HD frame from mud buddy to pair with the motor. The salesmen tells me that the 20hp would be to small to plan my boat out???

Anyone running this size combo?? I think mud buddy is just trying to sell me a complete package

That ought to push a 1448 of any type of boat I would think.

i usta have that same boat i bought it from bass pro, mine with 2 guys dog n gear would plain n go perty good! you shouldnt be worried

i have a bs 23 mini on a 14x48 rivited boat. i think it runs great, never had a gps on it. it carrys a prety good load and gets up real good with two people. you should be ok, though the motor is smaller and the boat is heavier?

I have a mudbuddy mini frame with a 24 hp Honda, it has the lower gear ratio, like 1.47:1, which originaly the frame had a 18 vanguard on it. I turn a Godevil 12x12 2 blade and get on step with 4 adults and 2 kiddos. So you should be good, by the way i run and old antique 1542 flatbottom, runs well though.

Just frame with shipping is $2,900. You might be better off selling the 18 Honda and buying you a new 23 mini for $3,895 plus tax or even find a used one. I got lucky and found and bought a 18 mini from Ebay for $1,600 plus $260 shipping. I still have $3,500 invested and next ime I will buy new. Just my opinion.
