 Recoil start option?
I have a new honda GX620 with only electric start. Id like to install a recoil on the motor for a backup. Im sure I read some place that this motor has a Solenoid that cuts fuel to the carb when the engine is OFF or dead battery.
Can anyone confirm this for me? If so, I cant see why the recoil start would be worth installing? I mean sure it would be nice if the starter fails. However I wanted to have a backup start in case of a dead battery.
Id like to hear your thoughts on this guys.

 Re: Recoil start option?
I have a Honda gx670 aka 24 hp. You were informed correct. there is an electric fuel solenoid, so manual start for dead battery would not work. I have had to take solenoid apart and clean due to ethanol. My engine only has 20 hours on it too, I went to boat launch and would not start. So, from reading on here , I went straight to solenoid and sure enough it was corroded. Carb cleaner a little emery cloth and back to new. I need to find a fuel additive for this.
