 16 vanguard prop
can anyone tell me the best size prop to use on my 16 vanguard longtail its on a 1548 weldbuilt that is super light only around 300 pounds. I know what stock is, just want more speed. Don't run in mud or sand just shallow water and a little grass.

 Re: 16 vanguard prop
i run in shallow clear water also and i 'm using a 9x6. i run a 1442 with bowfishing rig and 2 people and cant really tell a difference in rpm's. i works fine unless i want to go slow. it really increases your idle speed.

 Re: 16 vanguard prop
i would be lying if i said i could tell a difference at top speed i have to run slow and use the motor for torque to push thru rapids. the 9x6 pushes the shallows alot better but no idea on gps top speeds. Me and my partners have come up with a technique for wake riding and pushing a med heavy jon boat thru 6 inches of water on hard bottom wide ass open.

 Re: 16 vanguard prop
Just e pump otherwise i keepem' bone stock. i run rocky shallow rivers so speed has never been a priority. i dodge rocks most of the time. bees wax has saved my ass from sinking about ten times last year.
