How do y'all put your motor into the locked (up) position while on the water? I have been grabbing the BPS shield cover but Rod reminded me that those go into my head bolts & not a great idea to be grabbing at that & using it to force the motor into the boat before hitting the lock for the motor on the transom.

So I end up pushing down on the control box (old style) near the kill switch / trim & clutch switches.... I can't be the only one

Craig that's what I thought... been so long since I couldn't remember how it was bolted on but from what I remember it was bolted through the air filter pan & air filter pan bolted to carb & intake right?

So I should be okay getting a stronger piece of metal to aid in lifting the motor.

Yeah dude...i use the bps gaurd. I just cut the "bps power" part off and that made the handle.

I just use the trim, oh wait....that's right, sorry, I forgot yalls trim can't get it up.
