dual motors you should be running a couple more MPH, what condition are the props in, are they new motors? BUt you are right you should be able to trim the motors up higher to get maximum speed out of your rig

It just didnt make any sense to me that GT would sell a surface drive mud motor setup that the prop would still be fully submerged while running! I guess I gave them too much credit. lol

Post Dual GTR's CC 2060 Question
Trottle could be the weight of the back the boat also!! What I'm saying is coming from a single set up!! When I'm loaded really heavy I run the top hole for extra trim !! Remember the pin don't change your height it changes your angle!! So like you said yea you can trim it back down a lilttle and achieve the trim right but the angle will be differant!! But with the weight of the back the boat I would say go to the top pin and try!! Good thing to do is get you 2extra pins drill a hole in them and use a keeper pin in the end of it makes changing hole really easy and quick!! I leave one in the middle and one in the top!!

Sounds like a bunch of cacklin marsh hens in dis thread. FT raise the pins up like DDm suggested and find the sweet spot.. The extra weight from having 600# ish on the back of a flat bottom hull is going to require you to adjust the angle of the motors to suface da props.

I also saw in his picture that the 2 9GA tanks are in the stern as well. Anyone else notice that?

Would moving the tanks forward distribute some of that weight to the bow making the boat ride better = more RPM / MPH? Anyone else think this?

Sounds like a different transom angle is needed for dual GTRs.

Full Throttle, I have been running a dual rig for about a year now, and the way the motors are mounted on the one i run, the left motor trims higher than the right 1 so i run the left motor in the 2nd hole and the right motor in the top hole. I know this is off subject but if you wnat to wake that dual rig up add carb exhaust and black death intakes and that baby will really roll.

Put some hydro Jackplates on them twins.....

If you had it hoppn move some weight to the front.

DDM.....dont know if you ahve ran many dual rig but the weight in the middle can make the boat plow with heavy loads. I have to put everythign in the back on with my PD to keep it from plowign water.....i guess this is due to so much lift from the motors.

good luck Adam and check out the rides plans...looks like we got one on Patman next weekend....don't be late!!!!

Twin jack plates I think would make it worse !! The motors would be 6" or so father back!! 600 pounds of motor moved 6 " back ad slot of weight to a already heavy azz end heavy boat
