 shaking engine
I got an older prodrive from a guy that needed a little work. it's running better now but is still a little ruff. When idling it vibrates a decent amount and when I shut it off it jerks your arm pretty good. Is this normal for these motors? if not any ideas what would cause this? i checked all the bolts and eveything is nice and tight.

 Re: shaking engine
Does it get better or worse with more RPM's? Is this at idle out of gear or with prop turning? We need more info to really help.

 Re: shaking engine
This is in idle out of gear, but there doesn't seem to be much difference between in gear and out of gear. as rpms increase it does seem to get a little better. When i took it out the other day my hand would get numb after a few min of running it a 3/4-full throttle, not sure if this is normal. the shaking when i turn it off is enough to jerk the tiller side to side 3-4 inches.

 Re: shaking engine
I'm not the expert but sure sounds excessive to me. Do you have a tach? If so what does it say the idle RPM is. Sure sounds like something out of whack or balance is off. You say it is better now than when you got it. What did you do to it so far?
