I just picked up two hyper drive frames complete, (need some tlc and a few replacement parts) $500.00 for the pair without the motors. The guide business went back to all longtails for their guides. What I need is a good place to buy a reasonably priced new motor or a good place to start to look for a used vangard or kohler. Anyone have one for sale or know a good place to start looking? They are 2005 and 2006 models. One has a cracked shaft houseing and has been welded albeit not very damn good but can be easily repaired. The other is in like new cond. This was the owners motor.

I did notice they both had different belt systems on them? One had double vee cogged belt the other had a straight cogged belt. Was this just an engiineering change or is one a better drive belt than the other?

PS: I've had a longtail for 5 years but thought this was too good of a deal to pass up. SO i'm going to have a hyper drive and a 25 gd longtail.............. yea dog!
