And go devil doesn't have any user friendly features like a clutch and pwr trim which both are a must!!

I have a 27gdsd and really like it. Depends on what kind of running you will be doing and what options that you want personally.

Clutch and trim a must.....I don't think so. Thats preference. He don't have it now.

What size boat are you putting it on?

Get the 36.

I agree with woodie. If your boat can hold it and you can afford it go bigger.

Thanks for all the feed back. I am putting it on a 1648/ 125 gauge go devil boat. I think the 36 is to much motor. I've heard that when I get one I should pay the extra 475 for auto tilt trim though

If it isn't already, build it up to 20" transom.

Buy the 36 and you will be fine...
Get the hydro trim....

My dad has the same boat, once had a 25hp godevil longshaft. He sent it to a nerby boat shop to raise the transom, he now has a 36 prodrive on it, preforms really well. He had to move his battery and put a 12 gallon gas tank in the front to keep it from bounching when riding by himself. All in all, it makes great speed and with the rounded chines it turns on a dime in deep water and puts no stress on the motor across mud. (doesnt turn well across the mud flats though, learned that the hard way) :? :? :?
