 Push button start
I want to remove the key and add a toggle switch and push button start. I want to put the push button on the football so I don't have to keep turning around to start motor. Where can I find info on what each colored wire does on key switch. It's a 23 MB hd sport with trim/clutch
Thanks Greg

 Re: Push button start
I'm no retard but reading wiring diagrams ain't my thing. I think I can hook up a couple switches and extend a few wires. I could either fuk wit it for a day and figure it out our get the right answers and have it done way faster and not short someting out.

 Re: Push button start
goose i think adding another switch to the foot ball might make things busy up there. it can be done but my concern would be hitting the switch and turning the motor off. the tiller handle on these move up and down a bunch. if the problem u are having is the engine dying and then having to turn around for a restart u could mount a water proof push button on the football and run a hot wire already in the handle to the button switch and run a wire inside the handle down to the yellow wire on the starter solenoid. u will still have to use the origonal switch to turn on and start the engine from stock location but when motor die's then u can use the push botton on the football. if u still want the other way i can pm u some pics. good luck

 Re: Push button start
I acutally don't have the original football on my MB, one evening while at my buddies shop we milled up a billet football. (Pretty much drank beer and watched the cnc work) We frenched in a place for a push button a few weeks ago. I want to remove the keyed switch all together since its junk from keys getting ripped out of it by tree limbs.
