 Re: Finally finished!!!!
He is serious-
After the fire was out, cleaning all the fire retardent from the carb and intake while miles from the ramp is a little dicey:

 Re: Finally finished!!!!
X2 on the bracket. My Mikuni fell off and shot flames requiring the pale ale to be poured into intake. Up side is it runs better than ever now LOL. Down side is I had to waste beer in this heat. It fell of again during the Lake Fausse Point ride and didn't really hit anything too hard.

 Re: Finally finished!!!!
MAN!!! I can truely say i never thought about a fire danger......the carb falling off on my vertical was just a pain to me and i put some zip ties on it so it would not go in the drink.....no i see why a big push to keep the carbs connected! Have the horizontals always had this safety hazard, and if so BPS does nothing about it.....I dont think fault would be on them but seams like to easy of a fix not to do it. DB8 is fire covered in the waranty from BPS? If it is they are doing good by that. Auto...you should build a heat shield to goes below the carb. It would be a simple 2 bend with a outward "spout" that moves the fuel back and away from the block. DO me a favor and have it dump out on the outdrive so it wil PISS on the MUD BUDDY/ GATOR TAIL name every time it falls off that would keep any leaking fuel off the block and away from the exhaust. It would be a nice mate for you carb support. Later
