Mikuni carb leaking and no power on bottom end
I just bought a BD4500, finally got a little stick time on it this morning and noticed a couple things that concern me a little. When running at just about any throttle rNge, the overflow leaks a steady stream of fuel. And it also doesn't have any bottom end power to speak of. My 29 had twice the bottom end that this thing has. Anyway, I'm new to the aftermarket carbs and was curious as to where to start.

You need to adjust the tab on the float in the carb bowl.
As for bottom end, it could be carb adjustments or the different gear ratio to stay off the 4300 rev limiter.

Mikuni carb leaking and no power on bottom end
Ok thanks for the tips. I'll check and see if my local dealership will do that work for me. I don't really want to tear the carb down on a brand new motor.
