 36 PD Governor

Post 36 PD Governor
Turned up my RPMs to ~4300, the governor really surges now, maybe 200-250 rpm surge. Is this normal. If not what is the fix?

Also is the clutch supposed to be engaged when setting OOW RPMs?

Will hit the water tomorrow or in water RPMs speeds.

mine doesn't surge but then again i would listen to the boat doctor and he says you are fine. what size boat?

Turn it down so it doesn't surge. Each motor is a little bit different. I can get 4250-4300 without the governor surging.

Careful running it in gear oow, thats a good way for the shaft to get hot and melt a seal.
