Post blackdeath 5500 rpms increase?
ive searched high and low for this discussion but havent found anything. thought it might be a highly talked of subject, but...

my blackdeath 5500 is quite stout, itll push my 1754HD geaux barely over 30 by myself with a new prop, BUT im not getting to use all my motor. as soon as i hammer on it im constanly bumping my rev limiter, even comin outa the hole. while running WOT at 4300, if i trim up to the "sweet spot" im at half throttle. in order to bottom out the lever (easier to hang on) i have to trim down to the point of zero rooster tail. meaning to me theres lots more motor left that i cant get to.

question is, has anybody come out with (or is working on) a chip or programmer of somesort to up the rpms of this motor. im not unhappy with the preformance of this motor, id just like to see whats hidding behind the secret door

thanks

You may look in to changing your lower gear instead.
