Post GTR dies out
i have a 35 hp gtr went out today cranked right up. I was at full throttle and it died out. The inline fuel filter was full to the top. It would only crank with the choke pulled out. I got it cracked up and it died out 2 more times. The last time i got it cranked it ran fine but i fuel filter stayed full up. I have no clues what is causing this.

Was the air vent on your gas tank open?

"B&S" dies out... not a Gator-Tail issue.

Will the engine stay running if you "un-choke" it?

Next time it happens - take your shoes off and touch bare metal
on the motor - if it shocks the crap outta you - you have a plug wire
arcing to the frame somewhere....

Was with someone - running strong - when motor cut out hard and
acted a bit like your describing - would start then suddenly die out
since his feet were wet and his throttle was metal aftermarket - he
would get lit up when it happened and curse like he had touretts....

Lil tape and relocation of plug wires fixed it up....

It's a 4 stroke thing.... LOL....

It would only start with the choke on. then i would push the choke in and play with the throttle then it would run a while and die out. It has not done this again. I think it was bad gas
