 hot grips
Anyone ever put a heated grip like on their mud motor. Was thinking about putting one on my pro drive cause that's only hand that gets cold running long distances

 Re: hot grips
Mudbuddys came with them on the original Hyperdrives from 04-05, and they worked well.
I assume that it would work fine with the twist grip, but the wire that comes out of the grip is very small so you are going to need to find a way to protect it.

 Re: hot grips
I put one on my gdsd, ran the + to a switch then to battery and the - to the frame of the motor. I wrapped the handle with tennis racket tape. One of the best upgrades to the motor yet. My hand stays nice and warn

 Re: hot grips
I hate running a motor with gloves on cuz my hand cramps real bad. Mostly I just tough if out unless it is really cold, and then I use those 4-wheeler handle bar mittens. It works great and you dont have to have a glove on your hand.

 Re: hot grips
I dont like thick gloves. I have a thin pair of gloves I got from oreillys. Going to get another pair for backup. They have the rubber palm and fingers but are a thicjer material. Must have a lil wool in em because I've got mine wet and wrung em out and put them back on. I guess I have a glove fetish. I always have some on.

 Re: hot grips
I've used the same ones you buy to put on an atv and they work great. I've also made my own with constantan resistance wire. I don't like to wear gloves either, I usually just wear the real thin Under Armour gloves so a heated hand grip works wonders.
