I was running nicely this weekend until all of a sudden I accelerate and engine stalls at about 2600 rpms almost like rev limiter was kicking in too early. So I cut the rev limiter wire, but no change. I pulled over and let the engine rest a few seconds. It rev'd up just fine on neutral. I take off again and all is fine. It feels like under load carb not getting enough fule or air flow pass through is choking engine. Time for performance muffler. Or maybe under load fuel delivery is not keeping up. This behavior did not repeat the rest of the day.
