 setting the valves or valve lash
would any of yall say this is prob why my 36pd is will not idle at all ??? and any info would be helpful as to what to do

Improperly set or leaking valves can cause erratic idle. Check them...

first ck your throttle cable. reset ur idle air adjustment confirm u have a clean carb and fresh gas. u ussaully will notice when ur lifters are misadjusted your engine will take longer to start. possible kick back when starting. but by all means ck your valves also.
