 36 pr RPM
I am running a 17x 54 phatbouys hull I have a stock 36 pr on it. I did have a 25 pd on the same hull. I had some welding done to stiffin the hull up and strengthen the transom. I ran between 3790 and 3820 rpm with the 25 pr and would run 21.5 to 22 mph. I have ran the same RPMS with the 36 pd and have ran with 3 people 25.5 and with 2 people 26.5 MPH I want to know what rpms I can run with this 36 and be safe from damaging the engine. I would like to know what RPM range is gonna be safe to run this engine since my wife sucks at paddling.

 Re: 36 pr RPM
thank you I have not sent it over 4 g yet, I noticed that when I got around 3900 it did pick up but since no one told me what to run when I bought it I did not push it.

 Re: 36 pr RPM
You can run up to 4200 but may not in the water. Keep your governor adjusted ~4250 out of the water and you will be fine. Just run it adjusting the trim and see where you get the best speed. Every motor is different.

Can your wife suck and paddle at the same time?
