Do I need a fuel pressure reg.?
I installed a mr. Gasket electric fuel pump part #12s. The pressure is 4-7 psi. After reading a little more I wish I would have picked a diffrent pump with positive pressure shutoff. The pump is wired off a switch. Im worried this pump might be a little more psi than i need and I dont want to blow something up in the carb by over pressuring it. Do I need to run a regulator with this pump. It does however start better and doesnt fall on its face any more with the e-pump. Motor is a 33hp generac. Thanks

Re: Do I need a fuel pressure reg.?
You wont blow anything out in the carb, just keep an eye on it and make sure the inlet needle doesnt stick open with the pump on, you'll either pump the tank dry into the bottom of your boat or pump your engine full of fuel. If you only run the pump when the engine is running you will notice pretty quick if there is a problem and should be able to kill the pump.
Overall you should be fine.
